Yes, 50% of the total is due at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your arrival date. All paid prepayments are non-refundable. A pre-authorization of COP 800,000 is held on your card on the day of check-in as a security deposit. Yes, high-speed fiber WiFi is included at no extra charge. Speeds are up to 500 Megas, which is more than enough for streaming, video calls, and remote work. The suite is also equipped with a dedicated workspace area, making it ideal for digital nomads and remote workers.
The building has a secure underground parking garage. One parking space is available for guests at no additional cost. If you are renting a car, please let us know in advance so we can provide access instructions. That said, most guests find that taxis and rideshare apps are so affordable in Cartagena that renting a car is not necessary.
Rafael Nunez International Airport (CTG) is approximately 15 minutes from the suite. We’re currently working on offering private airport transfers — stay tuned! In the meantime, we recommend using InDriver or Didi apps, which work well in Cartagena and are a convenient, affordable option. Just share your flight details with us and we’ll help with any arrival logistics we can.
The Walled City (Ciudad Amurallada) is just a 10-minute taxi or rideshare ride from El Laguito, costing around $3-5 USD. You can also walk along the scenic Bocagrande boardwalk, which takes about 30-40 minutes and passes by beaches, restaurants, and shops. Many guests enjoy the walk during the cooler morning or evening hours.
The most popular rideshare apps in Cartagena are InDriver and Didi. Both are very affordable and widely used by locals and tourists alike. InDriver allows you to negotiate the price before the ride, while Didi works similarly to Uber. Regular yellow taxis are also available everywhere and are safe to use. We recommend agreeing on a fare before getting in or asking them to use the meter.
Cartagena is one of the most visited cities in South America and is generally very safe for tourists, especially in the areas of El Laguito, Bocagrande, and the Walled City. As with any major tourist destination, we recommend using common sense: keep valuables secure, avoid walking alone in unfamiliar areas late at night, and use rideshare apps for transportation after dark. Our building has 24/7 security, and the El Laguito neighborhood is well-patrolled and considered one of the safest areas in the city.
